Baldwin Park was master planned as a Traditional Neighborhood Development, using the principles of New Urbanism. New Urbanism planning principles mix residential, commercial and civic uses in close proximity, creating pedestrian friendly neighborhoods that make it possible to limit vehicle traffic. Baldwin Park has no gates or walls and complements the older, surrounding neighborhoods. There are more than 25 entries and exits to the Baldwin Park neighborhood.

Baldwin Park was built on the site of a former Naval Training Center; just three miles from downtown Orlando. Today, the 1,100-acre neighborhood is home to 8,000 plus residents and more than 125 businesses. This exceptional location is convenient to Orlando’s central business district, cultural attractions, theaters and sports venues and can be easily accessed by the East-West Expressway (SR 408), Interstate 4, and the Greeneway (SR 417). There is a wide range of housing choices, great schools, parks, lakes, shops and restaurants.

Residences

Baldwin Park homes are architecturally inspired with front porches and modern floor plans for today’s lifestyles. Townhomes and single-family homes are available.  Garages are accessed by alleys in the rear of most homes, creating more attractive streetscape and safer sidewalks.  A variety of condos are available – from garden style apartments to townhomes to lofts.

Village Center

The waterfront Village Center is the center of neighborhood activity. From sports pubs to sushi bars to fine dining, there are more than a dozen eateries. Gift Shops, specialty stores and service establishments line New Broad Street. There are also neighborhood banks, a CVS, and a Publix for convenience.  Dozens of businesses house the office buildings and executive suites. The Village Center also includes apartments and townhomes that are home to residents who want to be in the middle of the action.

Education

Three highly acclaimed public schools are a big draw for Baldwin Park parents and their children; many of whom can walk or ride their bikes to class. Audubon Park Elementary School serves K-5 students from a beautiful campus in the heart of the neighborhood. Glenridge Middle School serves grades 6-8 from a neighborhood campus with extensive recreational facilities. Winter Park High School, with its acclaimed IB program, has a direct-access road from Baldwin Park. A new private day care center and pre-kindergarten opened across the street from Audubon Park Elementary in 2010. Excellent private schools are nearby, as are Rollins College, Full Sail University and the University of Central Florida.

Parks and Recreation

Baldwin Park was designed to make it easy for neighbors to meet and get involved in the community.  Wide sidewalks on every street and miles of bike paths and trails around the lakes encourage residents to get out and enjoy one another. Baldwin Park has dozens of clubs and civic associations creating a true sense of Community.

With two big lakes, more than 50 miles of paths and trails, and over 20 parks, there's always somewhere to go for fun and exercise.

Enders Park is a residents-only park and recreation center that offers a large pool and kiddie pool, state-of-the-art fitness room, a community gathering room, playground and more. Swim lessons and fitness classes such as Pilates and yoga are offered to residents. This facility is access-controlled and unstaffed.

Grace Hopper Hall is another beautiful residents-only recreational facility that offers many of the same amenities as Enders Park. Grace Hopper Hall is access-controlled and also houses the Property Owners Association office.

Blue Jacket Park, a 55-acre City of Orlando park, is home to a track and field complex, lighted baseball fields and concession stand, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic areas with covered pavilions, two children's playgrounds, a great lawn for soccer and field games, fountain plaza and grand stairs. Reservations for facilities are made through the City of Orlando.

Harbor Park is a City of Orlando park that encircles Lake Baldwin. It includes a popular 2.5-mile walking and biking trail and a beautifully landscaped amphitheater and boardwalk at the edge of the Village Center.
